“Catching Light” is a graphite pencil drawing, hand drawn on a A3 smooth drawing paper
This drawing took me about 10 hours of work to finish.
My favorite part to draw, on every portrait is always the eyes, either human and non-human. This is a drawing of my sister’s eye, with no make-up. I took this photo and found it very striking due to the the lighting and the interesting shadows created by the eyelashes, so I had to draw it!
As demonstrated the dimensions are rectangular, however it looks very good centered in a square frame, with a white passepartout for instance.
